Rowley is close to Newburyport and the NH border. Nice small towns and very gay friendly. BTW the uproar over Gloucester High is overblown - teenagers have always exaggerated issues, and never more so than when a microphone's turned on. Even so, the educational quality in that city isn't all that great and there isn't much in the way of neighborhoods between "sketchy" and affluent.
