Hunter x hunter gay
My personal interpretation of the Chimera Ant Arc is that Killua has a crush on Gon. I think this analysis by a Japanese speaker is a good exploration of this. He's a confused 12 year old having a friend for the first time and thus understandably unsure of what the bounds of friendship should be.

Hisoka Morow is a pansexual character from Hunter x Hunter. Hisoka Morow (ヒソカ=モロウ, Hisoka Morou) is a Pro Hunter and former member #4 of the Phantom Troupe; his physical strength ranked third in the group. Within the first arc, we meet three of Hunter x Hunter’s main couples, each of which embodies a different phase of romance — from sweet adolescent meetings, to emerging adults, and finally.
There is no proof whatsoever that Killua is actually gay in Hunter × Hunter. The only male character he has some feelings for is Gon, and most of the theories are based on their relationship. I think they're just close friends. Killua does get red faced but only because he's not used to being complemented on anything.
Even if they are just friends I like to think they fuck each-other while saying "No homo". I agree that the way Killua talks about Gon is beyond how almost anyone would ever think of just a friend. If they were characters of different genders I do think think this would even be up for debate. There's Sensui and Itsuki, his only straight up gay couple. Then Sensui is also transgender with one of his multiple personalities.
Alluka from Hxh was also transgender. And there was even an extremely respectful, progressive transgender love story in Level E. Each of his major works also contain at least one cross dressing character. And then of course, there's gay clown. Then theres his love of creating attractive bishi male characters Kurama, Kurapika, Prince Baka plus his eroticism of Hisoka.
Then, the utter lack of any sort of sexualized female characters. There aren't a whole lot of female characters in his work in general compared to men. So uh, I'm not saying it's for sure cannon or anything but he likes to write in some pretty blatant homoerotic undertones. Just saying.
