My two friends aren't attached at my hip by any means, but I don't have that many girlfriends and I don't know if the conservative older women at my shower would be welcoming to them or not.

I wouldn't invite males at all, their sexual preference notwithstanding. Most women don't want to go to baby showers, let alone men lol. Most of my friends do couples or mixed-gender showers now I live in GA. I actually haven't been to a single gender shower in a decade or so. I guess if it were me, I would invite them, but it also depends on how much backlash you think you will get you wouldn't want the two guys to feel uncomfortable, either.

I had more guys at my first baby shower than women, lol. It may also be that there was alcohol present, but either way was a great time. If I had specified it was a female only shower though I would not invite my gay male friends. Who they sleep with doesn't change their gender. If it is a women-only baby shower, why would you invite men?

Are you also excluding any lesbian friends from this shower? I'm just playing devil's advocate here, but you get my point. If it is mixed-gender, then yes invite them. If not, then don't. I also don't care one iota if people judge, and if they were rude, I'd ask them to leave. That's just me, though. You have to decide your own comfort level and that of your boys. Have they expressed interest in going? If so, invite them.
